Editorial Methodology
How we research content
BuilderBuzz content is produced by a named editorial author and fact-checked against primary sources: official licensing bodies, vendor pricing pages, and industry data providers. Every data-driven page displays a “data last verified” date so you can judge freshness.
Sources and verification
We cite our sources and link to official documentation wherever possible. Licensing information is sourced from state licensing boards and official government publications. Software pricing is sourced from vendor websites and verified periodically.
Review and updates
Each article displays a “last updated” date. When facts change, we update the article and revise that date. Major corrections are noted in the article. See our correction policy for how errors are handled.
Research indexes and workflow assessments
We distinguish claims supported by vendor documentation from results produced through first-hand testing. A documentation-based assessment can establish what a vendor describes, but it cannot establish speed, accuracy, ease of use, customer outcomes, or a universal winner. We do not publish a numerical ranking unless every product has been evaluated with a comparable protocol and retained evidence.
Research pages display a snapshot date, link to their primary sources, state what was not assessed, and remain subject to our correction policy. See the Contractor Software Fit Index for the current documentation-based workflow assessment.
Commercial relationships
BuilderBuzz earns revenue through affiliate links and sponsored placements. These relationships are always disclosed at the top of the relevant page. Our editorial opinions are independent of these relationships. See our affiliate disclosure for full details.
